Cleo is off to a great start. She slept in a crate last night with minimal whining. But boy can that dog snore. I am getting a little jealous of all the attention that Christy is giving to her. We would like to give her a new name. Any suggestions?
Here is today’s Bible reading: Exodus 2:11-3:22&: Matthew 17:10-27; Psalm 22:1-18; Proverbs 5:7-14.
Matthew 17:14-20 (NIV)
When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him. [15] “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. [16] I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.”
[17] “O unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” [18] Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment.
[19] Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”
[20] He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
I would have made a great disciple – not because I am a man of great faith, but because I struggle with faith. The disciples were with Jesus day in and day out, and yet they struggled to believe. But, Jesus didn’t give up on them, and He is not giving up on you or me. He is daily testing and growing our faith. And one of these days, He is going to use our faith to move mountains. I pray that day comes very soon.

Now that you have had Brutus and currently have Cleopatra, I think I see a tom-cat named Caesar in your future and maybe a chinchilla named Marc Anthony. 😉
