I have posted this a few times of the years, but it is one of my favorite anniversary memories. 10 years ago (already?!) Christy and I were trying to decide how to celebrate our wedded bliss. We had been reading a marriage book by Joni Eareckson Tada and her husband Ken. In the book they mentioned an Italian restaurant that they enjoyed. So, without any better idea, we figured, “Hey, let’s give that one a try.” Shortly after we were seated, Ken and Joni came in and were seated next to us. Of course, we had to tell them the story of how we came to dine there that night. They were so very gracious, and even paid for our meal. What was most impressive to me was that a year later we received a heartfelt card in the mail from Joni recognizing God’s providence on that evening and on our marriage. It was a very unique and treasured anniversary gift from the Lord.
