It has been very humbling to have so many people praying for me. Words cannot express how much I appreciate that. Here is an update on what is happening physically:
1. I had MRIs taken of my mid and lower back on Friday.
2. The neurosurgeon called Monday to say that he saw no problems in those MRIs. So, from his perspective, the issue with my numbness and tingling in the extremities is not with my spine. So then, what is it?
3. I have an appointment with a second neurologist a week from today at USC for another perspective. They will perform more tests.
4. I have an appointment with a second neurosurgeon August 3rd.
5. In the meantime, the symptoms seem to be worsening in my arms and hands.
So, please continue to pray. Pray most of all that I would trust God completely.

Hi Pastor Chad,
I’m commenting to this and some of the more recent blogs. I’ve been struggling with several issues, health, parents, my work & time management. I’m not good with the computer except what I need to know for work but found your blog from the new FBC website. I have been struggling with many weird neuro symptoms too. It’s so frustrating. You mentioned your mid and lower spine. Did he say anything about your cervical spine?
I hope to get back to church soon again. I started attending church again then my mom and dad had issues and needed by time on the weekend and have had on the ongoing health issues. I was found to be in hyperthyroid in Jan and was very sick. My endocrine dr. was over medicating me with thyroid hormone. Since then I’ve only seen her once-i’m having a hard time trusting her. My nurse practicioner in Ojai is handling my thyroid meds now. Every couple months she’s been lowering my thyroid med because you can’t do it fast or it freaks out the body to much. I was feeling better & then about 3 weeks ago she lower it again and i’ve been feeling awful- very dizzy off and on, and having pulsing in my head. I’m most likely going to have to find a new endocrine Dr. and am having a treadmill test soon to check out my heart & I figure will be going to neurologist sometime soon.
I’m so happy to hear about the christian audiobook site. I have lots of problems with my eyes. They get very strained with work because I used the computer all day. I love to read but my eyes are so strained from work that on my time off I need to rest them. The audio books can be the answer.
I am so anxious for answers for you and myself and will keep praying. I have been a prayer warrior but have struggled with it over the past several months. I know God wants me to be a prayer warrior & satan does not want me to, so there’s the struggle. I also feel a calling to work with friends/family of alcoholic/drug addicts and have been a long time member in alanon-I ‘m not sure how God plans to fit that in with FBC but I know He has and plan and that it will be revealed.
Love and Prayers,
Carolyn
